This seemingly modern chair design, remarkably, boasts a heritage dating back nearly two centuries. Drawing inspiration from the images found within a rare 1834 French design catalogue, we embarked on a creative journey to craft a diverse family of products, responding to the Wiseman group’s request and the discerning tastes of other designers. Astonishingly, this chair was an innovator in its time, pioneering the use of a hollow tube design meticulously engineered to elegantly shed rainwater from the exterior seats.
